About This Harp

46 string, semi-grand pedal harp with extended, decorated soundbioard. This harp is one of the beautifully crafted older harps from the vintage years of Lyon and Healy when harps were made to last. It has that rich, resonant, gorgeous sound that is so distinctive of these instruments. The board was replaced in or around the 1950's and and the neck was replaced in 2005 by Munson and Harbour harps. The pedal box and base plinth also had some restoration work done by Alan Harbour. The top of the column has a unique and beautifully hand carved decoration of a mythical muse. Once owned by a professional harpist, it has not been played in the last few years as the current owner pursued piano studies instead. It comes with a house cover and would suit a harpist looking for a quality instrument that will look and sound great on any concert platform or at any function or wedding venue !
