A dedicated and passionate teacher, Megan has over 7 years of teaching experience in harp (solo and orchestral mentoring), piano and music theory, inspiring many students with her warm and encouraging teaching style. Her own extensive training through her private teachers and degrees at the Royal Academy of Music has given her expertise in a wide array of music and performance, giving her versatility and skills that she enjoys bringing into her teaching. She regularly performs with ensembles like Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Brixton Chamber Orchestra and Black Dyke Brass Band and has performed at venues including The Wigmore Hall, the Barbican and the Royal Festival Hall. Top pedagogy teachers have also praised Megan's teaching through her training to become a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music, and has completed a year as one of just four Open Academy Fellows, in which she worked to create music with people from all walks of life, from children to people experiencing homelessness to people living with dementia. Megan believes in fostering a supportive learning environment and centres patience, encouragement and fun in her practice. Each lesson is tailored to the pupil, removing a generalised approach so that each pupil's needs are met, enabling them to reach their own goals. Building a solid technique while having fun is important to Megan so her students can progress effectively to their full potential. Megan is available for lessons in person (London only) and online for harp (solo and orchestral mentoring), piano and music theory. Megan has an enhanced DBS to work with children and vulnerable adults has safeguarding training through TES.
